Sauliha Mitchell is a young spoken word artist who puts her passion into her words to tell a story. She is an African American Muslim poet who writes spoken word to make sense of a constantly changing world. She discovered her passion for spoken word from her parents who often wrote poetry. By putting pen to paper, she has placed and won several spoken word competitions and has performed her pieces in front of many audiences. She hopes that the words she utters will allow the listener to take a step back and see the world from a different viewpoint.
