Sagirah Shahid
Sagirah Shahid is a Black American Muslim poet and arts educator from Minneapolis, MN. She is a recipient of a Loft Mentor Series award in poetry and fellowships from the Minnesota Center for Book Arts and the Twin Cities Media Alliance. Sagirah is a 2020 TEDX Minneapolis speaker. Her debut collection of poetry "Surveillance of Joy" is forthcoming from Half Mystic Press in 2021.
